This overpass goes through EDSA, a main thoroughfare in Metro Manila, and connects pedestrians from EDSA or McKinley street to Ayala Avenue, the entrance of the Central Business district. The buildings behind it are hotels. A friend of mine, who's lived in the area her whole life, says the Intercontinental Hotel, the white building in the photo and a five-star hotel, is one of the oldest buildings in the area. It was there way before other buildings were constructed. Way before this bridge, for sure.

Good grief, even I've been here longer than that bridge! :-D
So everything is rather modern in this shot, eh?!
i used to cross Edsa to get to Ayala long before this overpass was constructed. i was fearless then.:p
a covered pedestrian bridge is so convenient. we should have more of them in Canada, I think!
